Chill Out Anger Management Group

Anger is a completely normal, usually healthy, human emotion. But when it gets out of control and turns destructive, it can lead to problems at work, in personal relationships, and in the overall quality of life. ...The goal of anger management is to reduce both emotional feelings and the physiological arousal that anger causes. You can't get rid of, or avoid, the things or the people that enrage you, nor can you change them, but you can learn to control your reactions.

'Chill Out' is an anger management group for young people aged 16-19. It is aimed at young people who recognise that they are having difficulties in managing their anger and would like to change.
The group is facilitated by Sue, along with staff from various other agencies. They all have experience of young people with anger problems.
The programme consists of ten weekly sessions, and is held at Castlegate from 3 'till 5pm on Wednesdays. You will need to make your own way to and from the group, but we can refund your travel expenses.
Each group can only hold a small number of people, so you will need to apply in advance and be allocated a place. If you think you might be interested, contact us for more details.
Young Women's Group
Outside of our normal opening hours, Castlegate runs a group for young women aged 16-25. The group meets weekly for eight sessions, and aims to give young women time out to discuss themselves, their friendships, their feelings and thoughts.
The project is going to be renamed and relaunched in the near future - more details will be appearing here soon.
