Leaflet stand in the drop-in area at Castlegate

We have information on all sorts of subjects. If we don’t have the information you need, we can usually help you find it or the best people to contact. We also have computers and a telephone you can use if necessary.

We can help you with filling in forms, writing CVs and letters.

We will explain your options and help you make decisions for yourself. This might be to do with practical issues, such as money problems or housing. Or it may be about emotional issues like relationships or mental health. We won’t tell you what to do. We will listen.

There are all sorts of questions that young people might come to Castlegate with:

  • "My dad has chucked me out and I’ve got nowhere to go tonight."
  • "I’m not enjoying my college course and I’m thinking of leaving."
  • "I’m worried about my friend; I don’t think he is eating properly."
  • "I think I might be pregnant and I don’t know what to do next."
  • "I need help finding an apprenticeship."
  • "I feel I as though I am going crazy."
  • "How do I register with a doctor?"
